Falls are a major concern for older adults. They can cause serious injury and other health problems. That’s why UCare created the Strong & Stable Kit: To help you stay strong and protect yourself.

If you're a member of UCare’s MSHO or Minnesota Senior Care Plus, you can get Strong & Stable Kit at no extra cost.

The Strong & Stable Kit has:

• A DVD that will guide you through key steps to preventing falls. It is very important to watch the video. It will teach you how to:
• Make your home safer.
• Install the tub grips from this kit the right way.
• Take medicines safely.
• Do simple exercises in your home to improve your strength and balance.
• Tip sheets with helpful falls prevention advice.
• Tub grips to make your bathtub or shower safer.
• A nightlight that you can use to keep your bathroom or another area of your home well-lit at night. It also stays lit when the power goes off and can be used as a flashlight.
• A medication box to help you take medications correctly.
