M.O.M.S. Program

UCare wants you to have a great pregnancy and a healthy baby! Our Management of Maternity Services (M.O.M.S.) program gives you important information to help you stay healthy during and after pregnancy.

Through the M.O.M.S. program, UCare members can get a M.O.M.S. booklet that has facts, tips, and resources to help make pregnancy easier. You'll find information about breastfeeding, eating healthy during pregnancy, UCare's car seat program, and more. Download a PDF of the English or Spanish version of the booklet below:

The M.O.M.S. program also encourages you to get regular prenatal care during your pregnancy. It's important to your health and the health of your unborn baby. UCare rewards eligible members with a $75 gift card when you:

• Complete your first prenatal appointment within the first trimester of your pregnancy (or within 42 days of enrolling in UCare).
• Complete your postpartum visit between three and eight weeks after your baby is born.

To get a $75 gift card, print the gift card voucher below. Take it with you to your appointment, and have a clinic staff member sign and date it. Then mail it to UCare.

Talk with a nurse

The M.O.M.S. program also helps you with answers to your pregnancy questions from a Pregnancy Advisor nurse. The nurse will call you during and after your pregnancy to give you support and information. The nurse can also connect you with resources ranging from baby supplies to help with the "baby blues," if needed.

Help to quit smoking

The M.O.M.S. program also can help you to quit smoking. It's important to your health and is a healthier start for your baby. Eligible UCare members can receive a $25 gift card after completing an initial phone counseling session with the Mayo Clinic Tobacco Quitline (MCTQ) at 1-888-642-5566 (toll free). You can qualify for the gift card either during your pregnancy or during your baby's first year of life. After you complete the session, the MCTQ will let UCare know, and we'll mail your gift card to you.

Get a copy of the M.O.M.S. booklet or vouchers

UCare will mail pregnant members the M.O.M.S. booklet and/or the vouchers. The booklet and the vouchers are free for UCare members.
