Minnesota Senior Care Plus
(MSC Plus)
MSC Plus is a health care program that pays for medical services for low-income people in Minnesota who are age 65 or older. MSC Plus helps people get the care they need to be healthy. This includes coverage for physician services, hospital stays, rehabilitation services, preventive care, and prescription drugs.* If you join MSC Plus, you also may be eligible for Elderly Waiver services, home and community based services, and case management. To qualify for MSC Plus, you must meet income and other eligibility requirements.
UCare partners with the Minnesota Department of Human Services to offer MSC Plus in 54 counties in Minnesota.
If you choose UCare as your health plan for MSC Plus, you can take advantage of these programs and services to help you get care and be healthy:
- Transportation to and from health care services.
- Disease management programs for members with chronic conditions.
- Access to UCare Tooth Care (our mobile dental unit), and help getting dental appointments in 30 days.
- Large network of health care providers.
- Free quit smoking programs.
- Mammogram reward program.
