More than 1,000 fairgoers will participate in the 9th Annual State’s Largest Senior Stretch & Stroll at the Minnesota State Fair! The popular event will be held on Seniors Day.
UCare and Volunteers of America organize the program, which is always designed to promote fitness and good health among seniors.
The first 1,000 participants will receive free door prizes, including a T-shirt, tote bag, self-powering flashlight, exercise DVD and color instruction booklet, and shoelaces. They also will enjoy live music from the Carousel Park stage.
Following the one-hour program, Stretch & Stroll participants and the public can take advantage of free blood pressure checks at the information tent in Carousel Park, courtesy of UCare and Volunteers of America. Other health and fitness demonstrations also will be available at the tent.
