Dedicated Fax Number for CAH, FQHC, and RHC Rate Notifications
If your facility is designated as a CAH, FQHC, or RHC, you should receive letters from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) or Fiscal Intermediary (FI) that assigns your Medicare service rates. CMS/FI does not send a copy of these service rate letters to the payers. Each facility is responsible for sharing this information with their payers to ensure the correct and prompt payment of claims.
To streamline this process for UCare providers, please fax your rate letters to this dedicated UCare fax line each time they are changed:

Please note that effective 6/1/10, UCare will not adjust the effective date of the service rates for CAHs. Rates that are submitted to UCare will be effective within 15 business days of receipt by UCare. Therefore, it is imperative you share these rates with us as soon as you receive from CMS or your FI.
