New state legislation requires people with disabilities who receive Medical Assistance (MA) to be assigned to Special Needs BasicCare (SNBC) health plans unless they choose to opt-out of managed care. DHS has already began enrolling MA recipients with disabilities into SNBC plans and the expansion will continue to be rolled out in several phases throughout 2012.
