UCare Connect Will Grow Significantly in 2012 - health lines BULLETIN Special Edition New!

New state legislation requires people with disabilities who receive Medical Assistance to be assigned to Special Needs BasicCare (SNBC) health plans unless they choose to opt-out of managed care. In Jan. 2012, DHS began enrolling Medical Assistance recipients with disabilities into SNBC and the SNBC expansion will continue to be rolled out in several phases throughout 2012.

To find out more how this may impact your organization, what is UCare's position, and much more, click here to download and read our special edition of health lines BULLETIN regarding the SNBC expansion.

Duplicate 835s (Electronic Remittances) Sent out on 1/4/12

Earlier today, 1/4/12, our system generated and sent out duplicate 835s to some providers in error. If you received a duplicate 835, you may disregard it. We apologize for any inconvenience and confusion that this may have caused you; however, we are glad to report that our system has been corrected as of this morning.

Please note that the duplicate 835 does not mean you will receive duplicate payments (checks or EFTs). The 835s are simply notifications that a particular batch of claims have been paid and are not the payment transaction itself. If you have any questions, please contact our Provider Assistance Center. Thank you!
