Minnesota offers several health care programs that help people with lower incomes, including children, adults, and families, afford the care they need.

For individuals
The state of Minnesota offers two health care programs for individuals who need financial assistance to afford health insurance: Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare. UCare offers plans to help you access your Medical Assistance (Medicaid) or MinnesotaCare benefits.

For families and children
Families and children meeting income guidelines may qualify for Medical Assistance (Medicaid). If you qualify, you can enroll in our MinnesotaCare or PMAP plan to get your health care.

For people with disabilities
UCare offers two plans for people ages 18 to 65 with certified disabilities. Which UCare plan(s) you are eligible for depend on whether you have Medical Assistance (Medicaid), Medicare, or both.

For people ages 65 and older
UCare offers two plans for people ages 65 and older who have Medical Assistance through their county to help with health care costs. Which UCare plan(s) you are eligible for depend on whether you have Medicare.

- Minnesota Senior Care Plus (MSC+)
