Twin Cities Business 2022 Notable Leader in Health Care, December 2022
UCare President and CEO Hilary Marden-Resnik was one of 17 Leaders in Health Care honored by Twin Cities Business (TCB) magazine for being a best-in-class executive leading an organization that provides access to top-notch care. Among the criteria were implementing: 1) technology to streamline processes, 2) innovation to support new solutions and 3) training and leadership advancing an inclusive culture.

Daniel Santos, UCare Executive Vice President/Chief Legal Officer, was one of 11 Notable General Counsels honored by Twin Cities Business (TCB) magazine. Santos was recognized as a best-in-class executive providing strategic leadership to contract negotiations, privacy and security issues, and ethical decisions.

Minnesota’s Best 2022, September 2022
In the 2022 Star Tribune Reader’s Choice Contest, UCare won Bronze Best Insurance Company. The program recognizes the best Minnesota businesses from over 390 categories, including professional services, restaurants and cultural institutions.

Star Tribune Top Workplaces 2022, June 2022
For the 13th consecutive year, UCare was named a Star Tribune Top 200 Workplace. Ranked 11 in the large employer category, UCare is one of only a small number of companies to earn the recognition all 13 years of the program. UCare’s consistent communication strategies to keep in-office and remote employees equally well informed were featured in this Star Tribune article.

Twin Cities Business 2022 Community Impact Award, April 2022
UCare was one of ten honorees in the Twin Cities Business 2022 Community Impact Award program. Recognized for Promoting Civic Involvement, UCare’s member and community response during the pandemic was noted, including the extraordinary measures UCare employees take every day to remove barriers to care for members and their communities.

Joy Marsh, UCare Associate Vice President of Equity and Inclusion, was selected by Twin Cities Business as one of the Minnesota influencers, thought leaders and key players likely to be making news or driving change in 2022. Her work to build a lifelong legacy of anti-racism at UCare was highlighted by the publication.

Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal Women in Business, October 2021
Julia Joseph-Di Caprio, MD, MPH, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, was selected by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as a 2021 Women in Business honoree. Singled out for championing health care and health equity, she is one of 50 business women recognized for their professional achievements, leadership qualities and contributions to the broader Twin Cities community.

University of Minnesota School of Public Health Alumni Award of Merit, October 2021
Julia Joseph-Di Caprio, MD, MPH, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, received the Alumni Award of Merit from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health for her work helping to make health a human right. She was selected by a group of her peers for her success in using her education from the School of Public Health to make a significant difference for UCare and the communities we serve.

Ranked 11th in the large employer category, UCare is one of only a small number of companies to earn the recognition all 12 years of the awards program. UCare’s diversity tool was also mentioned in this Star Tribune article.

Minnesota Public Health Association, Albert Justus Chesley Award, June 2021
Annie Halland, MPH, UCare’s County, Tribal and Public Health Manager, was selected by the Minnesota Public Health Association (MPHA) to receive the prestigious Albert Justus Chesley Award for distinguishing herself in the field of public health and making a definite contribution to the MPHA. The award is named after A.J. Chesley, MD, who had a long and distinguished career leading public health efforts at the Minnesota Department of Health.

Aster Awards, June 2021
UCare won two Gold Aster Awards in this national competition honoring excellence in health care advertising. UCare’s 2020 diverse communities outreach campaign with UNO Branding earned a Gold Award as did its creative TV advertising adaptations for COVID-19 with Preston Kelly.

Minnesota Lawyer, In-house Counsel, Healthcare Organization, April 2021
Daniel Santos, UCare’s Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, has been awarded In-house Counsel, Healthcare Organization, by Minnesota Lawyer. He is one of 17 honorees from around the state recognized for their contributions to the profession of in-house attorney. A special event on April 29 was held to recognize the honorees.
