How to enroll in UCare's MSHO

Receive Medicaid (Medical Assistance) through your county or Tribal office

If you are not already enrolled in Medicaid, you need to apply by filling out a paper application and mailing the application or taking it to your county or Tribal office.

Sign up for Medicare Parts A and B

You also need to be signed up for Medicare Parts A and B. You must pay your Medicare Part B premium unless it is paid for by the state.

Enroll with UCare

Once you have Medicaid and Medicare, you have three options to enroll. See below for details.






You have three ways to enroll with UCare

Enroll online

  • You'll need your Medicaid (Medical Assistance) identification (ID) number, Medicare number and an email address to get a validation code.
  • If you need more time, you can save your progress and finish the application later. Access your in-progress application through a link in the original validation email.
